Privacy Policy

Written in plain English so families can see exactly what we hold, why we hold it, and how to ask us to change or remove it.

Who we are

UK School Pathways is an independent UK education research and planning service for international families. You can reach us at hello@ukschoolpathways.com or by post at [BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS REQUIRED BEFORE PAYMENTS].

Information families may provide

Depending on what you choose to tell us, this may include:

  • Parent or guardian contact details, where you send them to us by email
  • The child's first name, age and current schooling
  • Selected personality traits and anything you write about your child's character and interests
  • Academic information, boarding preferences, location preferences and budget
  • Dietary, cultural or pastoral considerations, if you decide to mention them

Where the questionnaire is held today

The free questionnaire runs entirely in your own web browser. Your answers are kept in your browser's session storage so you can move between steps and see your results. They are not submitted to us and are not saved in any database.

Session-storage information may remain on your device until the browser session is closed or the browser's stored data is cleared. Clearing it removes your answers.

Paid enquiries and future features

Paid reports and enquiry forms are not operational. No payment processor is connected, no assessment is stored on our systems, and we do not use automated interpretation or translation of anything you write.

If enquiry forms, assessment storage or payments are added later, this policy will be reviewed and updated before those features go live.

Lawful bases and data minimisation

Where we do handle information — for example an email you send us — we rely on your consent, on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, or on our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry. We ask for the minimum needed to give useful guidance, and nothing more.

Information about children

Information about a child should be submitted by a parent or guardian. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information, such as detailed medical or religious details, unless it is genuinely relevant to school suitability.

Security, retention and processors

We use reputable service providers for website hosting and email, and they act as processors under appropriate terms. We apply proportionate technical and organisational measures, and we keep information only as long as needed to answer your enquiry or meet legal obligations, then delete it.

International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

Cookies

We use only what is needed to make the site work, including the browser session storage described above. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you may ask for access to the information we hold about your family, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

Please raise any concern with us first at hello@ukschoolpathways.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority.
