The Pathway Fit Framework

No school is universally best. Fit depends on the child and the family, assessed across five dimensions.

  • Child Fit

Will this child feel known here?

  • Academic Fit

Is the academic pitch right — neither crushing nor coasting?

  • Pastoral Fit

Who is responsible for this child's wellbeing, by name?

  • Family Fit

Does the school work for the whole family, at distance?

  • Practical Fit

Is this genuinely workable, year after year?

Our approach

Built around your child — not league tables

Rankings describe cohorts. Your child is one person, with a personality, a sport they love and a language journey in progress.

Explainable Pathway Fit

Five dimensions — child, academic, pastoral, family and practical — each with a verdict and the reasoning behind it. No mysterious single number.

Source transparency

Every statement carries an evidence type, a reference and the date it was last checked. You can see what is verified and what is school-published.

Strengths and trade-offs

Each recommendation names what may not suit your child, not only what flatters the school.

What we would challenge

Where another factor looks more important for this child than a stated family priority, we say so respectfully.

No guaranteed-admission claims

We help you decide well. Admission decisions belong to schools alone.

Prepared for international families

English-language support, guardianship, travel and exeat logistics considered from the outset.

Why I built UK School Pathways

Built by an education professional who believes decisions should be clearer

My background began in international education, working with students and families navigating education away from home. Over time, I became increasingly interested in how technology and data could make those decisions clearer, more transparent and more personalised. That interest led me into educational technology and digital learning — and ultimately to building UK School Pathways. I wanted to create something different from a traditional school directory or consultancy: a structured, evidence-led way for families to understand their child’s UK education options, bringing together school data, family priorities and practical considerations in one place. UK School Pathways combines education experience with a data-led approach to create a personalised pathway built around the individual child.

Education experience, data-led approach, built for international families.

Education-led methodology

Built around how children actually develop, learn and settle, not around rankings or marketing.

Evidence-backed research

Every claim is traceable to a source, with the date it was last checked and the confidence we place in it.

Independent recommendations

Schools are not paid to appear. Recommendations are shaped by fit, not by relationships or commission.

International education experience

Worked directly with students and families making education decisions away from home.

Educational technology & digital learning

Explored how technology can make complex decisions clearer, more transparent and more personalised.

British Council UK Agent and Counsellor Training Certification Award

Completed the British Council’s UK Agent and Counsellor Training and holds a current Certification Award.

Partner support

Independent by default, supported if you want it

Families can continue independently with their pathway, contacting schools directly at their own pace. If you would rather have someone alongside you, we can introduce an independent school-admissions specialist.

What specialist support can add

  • · A second opinion on your shortlist
  • · Company on calls with admissions offices
  • · Guidance on boarding logistics and guardianship

Partner service: UK School Pathways may receive a referral commission if you purchase support. Partner relationships do not affect your school-match results.
